What is a JFIF file?
JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is the file format spec that JPEG images actually use - a .jfif file's contents are a real JPEG image, just saved with a .jfif extension instead of .jpg. It usually shows up when Windows, Microsoft Edge, or certain photo apps save or download an image and label it that way automatically.

Why Convert JFIF to JPG?
